The word "social" comes from the Latin socius, which means "comrade" or "friend". In this context, social describes aspects of human life that involve relationships, cooperation and communication with others.

Definition of social according to various perspectives:

2. Psychology: Social relates to how individuals are affected by the presence of others in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

3. Economics: Social can refer to the impact of economic activity on society, such as social welfare or corporate social responsibility.

4. Daily life: Social is often used to describe activities that involve interaction, such as gathering, communicating or working together.

    Social nature is a natural part of humans being social creatures (homo socius), which means humans need relationships with others to survive and thrive.
